BIKING TO SCHOOL IS CLEVER
(STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER)
(Lennon/McCartney/Coton)
11/06
Let us take a ride ‘cause
I’m going soon
Biking to school.
It’s all very cool.
But hold on or you’ll
have a crash.
Biking to school is clever.
Biking with David and my
dad,
Is so much fun, imagine that.
I speed along with them so
fast it’s such a blast
And I hold on so very tight.
Let us take a ride ‘cause
I’m going soon
Biking to school.
It’s all very cool.
But hold on or you’ll
have a crash.
Biking to school is clever.
We go from one school to
the next
Then we stop for water at
the park
We use the swings and get
so full of sand,
We must get home before it’s
dark.
Let us take a ride ‘cause
I’m going soon
Biking to school.
It’s all very cool.
But hold on or you’ll
have a crash.
Biking to school is clever.
My feet get to the pedals
now
And I think I help so very
much.
I pedal forwards, backwards
too
If not for me we would not
move.
Let us take a ride ‘cause
I’m going soon
Biking to school.
It’s all very cool.
But hold on or you’ll
have a crash.
Biking to school is clever.
HARD BIKE RIDE
(HARD DAY'S NIGHT)
(Lennon/McCartney/Coton)
(11/06)
It's been a hard
bike ride
and I've been
riding like a dog
It's been a hard
bike ride
I really feel
like some egg nog.
But when I'm
biking along
my dad won't
leave me alone
he says to pedal
more and more.
We’re biking all around
Up some tall bridges all over town
Then he says let’s bike a little more,
If we try hard we’ll reach the store
But what he really can’t tell
Is I don’t pedal too well
He’s really doing all the work
Pedal on
Pedal dad with all your might
Pedal on
Pedal and it’ll be all right, right, yeah.
It's been a hard
bike ride
and I've been
riding like a dog
It's been a hard
bike ride
I really feel
like some egg nog.
But when I'm
biking along
my dad won't
leave me alone
he says to pedal
more and more.

Chucky the black nosed doggy
2006
Chucky the black nosed doggy
Has a very vicious bark.
And if you ever heard it,
You would run back in the dark
All of the other doggies
Would run back into their homes
They would not bother Chucky,
He would just destroy their bones.
Then one sunny Christmas eve,
Dad just came to say,
“Chucky with your bark so strong,
You just cannot come along.”
Then all the other doggies,
Realized Chucky was right,
With all the crazy barking,
It was louder than his bite!
Jingle Bells
2006
Jingle Bells
Coco smells
Jessie fried an egg
Then dad got so very mad
That we scrambled away.
Playing in our yard
Is really very hard
There is no grass, you see,
It’s all full of debris
Then Chucky will run
Just trying to have fun
But there is no place for him to go
So he sits in the sun
Jingle bells
Coco
smells
Jessie fried an egg
Then dad got so very mad
That we scrambled away
In School/In Dreams
(Orbison/Coton 8/08).
A
candy-colored clown they call the Sean man
Tip-toes in to school every day,
Just to sprinkle something and to whisper,
“Go to school, everything is
OK.”
I close my eyes, then I drift away
Into the playground where I’ll
spend the day
Then I will read a lot of books (then
I will have a lot of fun)
And I will write about (and I will read some books)
The ones I took.
(Til I am done.)
In school, I read a lot
In school, I write a lot
In school, I’m fine, all of
the time
I am happy, in school, in school
But
just before the bell.
It’s my turn for “show and tell”
I can’t help it, I can’t help it, if I try. (I can’t
help it, I can’t help it, if I cry)
I remember,
the story is mine. (I remember, teacher told me, “Goodby”)
I’m so glad these things are cool
And that they happen in my school
Only in school
In Coral Park school.
